About Me

My photo
I have recovered from the disease of Alcoholism. I believe there is only one person really,.. everybody. And that peace of mind is everything. -So treat your neighbor as you would treat yourself, because your neighbor IS yourself. I think most of recovery is what I would call common sense, but that learning to be ordinary is a true gift very few people acquire. My ambition is to accept everything unflinchingly, with compassion, and therefore be intrinsically comfortable in my own skin, no matter what. I am comfortable being uncomfortable and am willing to go to any lengths to improve my life. I believe the Big Book was divinely inspired, and is extraordinarily powerful. Unfortunately AA's best kept secret a lot of the time. (In my opinion). I just try to do what works, no matter what it is.

How are you trying to add it to the template? If you'll provide the code you're using, I'll see if I can see why it's not working. I'm not a programmer, but do know HTML and CSS very well.

ah bless. thanks dg! what i mean i was trying to add it to the beta blogger dashboard template, using the 'add a page element' picture option. so i shouldn't realy have said the template i suppose. ? does that make more sense? im not (even slightly) a programmer as you can tell.. hahaa

Where are u trying to add the banner? Is it to your blog as a header? As DG said above you will need to adjust the style sheets.

The header has bevel edges that are images, you will have to remove these. In addition, your description will overlay the banner so you may need to reconsider its placement. If you are interested I created a visual tutorial of how to do this for SoberNuggets. You two have the same template with some slight differences.

Fun Stuff!

Ah, how cool are you? You ladies know your onions! (as they say). How cool! Thank you for you help DG and SC! Very generous, considering I''m sure you have FAR more pressing Christmas errands to be attending to! Sober Cyber Laydeez eh? Much appreciated! Thank you SC, if it's not too much palaver for you, a tutorial would be smashing! I'll give it a whirl and see how i get on..
I was only going to stick the picture in using the rudimentary 'add pic to blog' blogger tool, but the dang thing just spins endlessly, and never quite gets round to loading. (!!#) But I might try sticking it in as a header. Exciting! Thank you, you fabulous sober blogging people!
