About Me

My photo
I have recovered from the disease of Alcoholism. I believe there is only one person really,.. everybody. And that peace of mind is everything. -So treat your neighbor as you would treat yourself, because your neighbor IS yourself. I think most of recovery is what I would call common sense, but that learning to be ordinary is a true gift very few people acquire. My ambition is to accept everything unflinchingly, with compassion, and therefore be intrinsically comfortable in my own skin, no matter what. I am comfortable being uncomfortable and am willing to go to any lengths to improve my life. I believe the Big Book was divinely inspired, and is extraordinarily powerful. Unfortunately AA's best kept secret a lot of the time. (In my opinion). I just try to do what works, no matter what it is.

May you be well, may you be happy

Just thought I'd share a Metta blessing with you over the holiday period.
When you do a metta meditation, you repeat this statement with someone in mind.

You can also apply it to yourself, by repeating the same statement
May I be well, may I be happy
You can do it in time with your in breath and out breath if you like.

This is a real 'feel good' meditation and can make you TOTALLY high. (Not a chemical high) But it does make you high as a kite if you do it long enough.
You can always tell who is doing the metta practices because they have great big beaming grins all over their face!
Give it a go, for just half an hour, and notice how your mood is affected. It quite funny really!
I did it for an entire weekend 'Metta' retreat once and I was on an amazing serotonin (or ?? whatever) high.

Anyway I'll leave you with that!

Howdy!! Now that was rude, all this time I thought you were a guy. My bad, lol. Again I run into a very comfortable site, man, you guys is everywhere.

Ran across this while looking through my wife's copy of The Dhammapada. I needed some wisdom from someone better at it then me. I gave my copy away years ago, short sighted of me I guess. Hope this lends itself to a smile.

See there were these 2 young monks and they were headed back to the monastary. They come to a river and see a young girl that can't get across. So one of the monks picks her up, carrys her across and sets her down. They continue on their way. Finally the other monk gets all excited and says, How can you do that? You not only touched a girl, you carried her. His reply, That is true, but I put her down, you did not.

Thanks for taking the time to post so much about litigation.

Sadly, you're a bit off-beam when it comes to disability rights and emkployment law. I do appreciate your kind thoughts though. Thank you.

This isn't really about revenge or getting money from my former employer. What I need to consider first and foremost is how the potential tribunal case might effect my recovery and mental health.

Hope you have a great day today!

regards

Kenny
